Vendor requirements

Vendors are required to provide a State of Washington UBI number (not federal tax ID number) AND a City of Seattle business license customer number*, which is located on all Seattle business licenses. A State of Washington business license will not substitute for a City of Seattle business license. Our vendor list will be checked by the city. This is required of for-profit as well as not-for-profit organizations. The only exemptions are public schools and churches.
Vendors are responsible for their own taxes and license liabilities. Washington State sales tax must be collected where applicable.

Food Vendors are required to have a temporary food service permit.
If you are a Mobile Food Vendor, your Permit Number stars with “PR” on your annual operating permit.food permit exemptions click here to find out which foods or food service operations do not need food business permits.
Seattle Fire Department Permit:
Applies for food vendors who will heat and/or cook food with charcoal or propane.The application can be found here
Food Vendors must provide a Certificate of Insurance naming Africatown Community Land Trust, and the City of Seattle as additionally insured parties.
Contact your insurance and ask them to add the names listed below as additionally insured parties for general liability insurance.
